Job summary

Lift Sir Herbert Leon Leisure Centre, part of Lift Schools, is seeking a friendly, organised Receptionist for a part-time role (10 hours per week: Saturday and Sunday). You’ll be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and handling enquiries to support the smooth operation of reception and administration services.

In this role you’ll help foster a welcoming environment, ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed, and contribute to the wellbeing of our community

Qualifications

• A professional and approachable individual with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in a customer-facing or office environment.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Good IT skills and confidence using office systems and equipment.
• Someone who works well independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people and the wider community.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, parents, students and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
• Manage incoming phone calls and the main email account efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure all visitors and students are signed in and out correctly in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Coordinate appointments, meeting room bookings and deliveries.
• Support the wider administration team with clerical and administrative tasks.
• Maintain an organiserised and welcoming reception area.
• Assist with first aid responsibilities following appropriate training.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety procedures at all times.
