Lift Sir Herbert Leon Leisure Centre is looking for a friendly Receptionist to be the face of our busy reception. You will warmly welcome visitors, manage enquiries and coordinate appointments to support daily operations and safeguarding procedures.

Part of Lift Schools, this role offers part-time hours (10 per week, Saturday and Sunday) with a focus on excellent customer service and community wellbeing. Training and benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good IT skills and confidence with office systems.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Professional and approachable demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Manage calls and the main email account efficiently.
• Sign in/out visitors following safeguarding procedures.
• Coordinate appointments and room bookings.
• Support wider administration tasks.
• Maintain a welcoming reception area.
• Assist with first aid responsibilities after training.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety.

Salary: SCP 2-5 £24,413 - £25,583 FTE Actual Salary: £5,649 - £6,116 + wellbeing cash plan + pension scheme + additional Lift Schools benefits
Hours: Part Time - 10 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday) , 52 weeks per year
Contract type: Permanent

Lift Sir Herbert Leon Leisure Centre, part of Lift Schools, is looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist to join our team and help create a positive experience for all visitors, students, staff and community users.

About the Role

As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role as the face and voice of the leisure centre. You will warmly welcome visitors, manage enquiries, coordinate appointments and support the smooth day-to-day running of reception and administration services.

This is more than an administration role; it's an opportunity to support the wellbeing of our community while contributing to Lift Schools' mission of providing an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, parents, students and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
• Manage incoming phone calls and the main email account efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure all visitors and students are signed in and out correctly in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Coordinate appointments, meeting room bookings and deliveries.
• Support the wider administration team with clerical and administrative tasks.
• Maintain an organised and welcoming reception area.
• Assist with first aid responsibilities following appropriate training.
• Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety procedures at all times.
