Job summary

Lift Schools is hiring a Teaching Assistant to support learning, development and wellbeing across classrooms and targeted interventions. You will work with teachers and pastoral colleagues to create an inclusive, engaging environment where students are challenged yet supported to reach their potential.

We seek a caring, resilient individual with experience with children, able to build positive relationships, and committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Holds GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualifications.
• Has experience working with children and young people.
• Can build positive and productive relationships with students.
• Is calm, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced school environment.
• Can work effectively as part of a team.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Has excellent organisational skills and can manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
• Working alongside teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
• Delivering targeted support and interventions for individual students and small groups.
• Encouraging students to develop independence, resilience and confidence in their learning.
• Supporting students' social, emotional and mental wellbeing in line with school policies and procedures.
• Monitoring student engagement and progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Assisting in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the needs of all learners.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.
• Supporting educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school events.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, the SENDCo and parents/carers to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
