Qualifications

• Experience in school, nursery or childcare is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in education or supporting teaching and learning would be an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
• Providing one-to-one support to pupils who need extra help.
• Working with small groups to reinforce literacy, numeracy and other subjects.
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
• Helping pupils develop social skills and emotional well-being.
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with learning activities.
• Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitoring pupils' progress and identifying areas needing further support.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents and other professionals as appropriate.
