Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the Medical Education Team. You will support pupils who cannot attend school due to medical reasons, including those with additional needs, in learning, confidence, and progress within a safe environment.

Typical duties include supporting learners with SEND and medical needs, assisting in small groups or 1:1, and contributing to reintegration planning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with medical needs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in small groups and one-to-one sessions
• Deliver online learning and home-based learning where appropriate
• Assist with classroom routines, preparing resources and monitoring attendance
• Provide first aid and supervise pupils during learning and transition times
• Contribute to reviews and reintegration planning
