Job summary

Academics in Worcester is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support in long-term and day-to-day roles across local primary schools. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and parents to support pupils learning and emotional wellbeing, including 1:1 or small group support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in primary settings with SEN, a Level 2 TA certificate (or equivalent recent education experience), and be able to start ASAP with DBS in place.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a primary class with SEN (essential).
• Level 2 TA certificate or valuable recent experience in education settings.
• Committed to supporting children with additional needs and tailoring learning to help each pupil flourish.
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding understanding.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and emotional wellbeing of pupils alongside staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
