Job summary

Twynham Learning seeks two part-time Student Welfare Assistants for mornings or afternoons to join our welfare team. You will provide first aid, administer medications with guardian authorisation, and maintain accurate records for students' health needs.

The role emphasises safeguarding, clear communication with staff and parents, and working with initiative in a busy school setting along the South Coast.

Qualifications

• Have a first aid qualification (or be willing to complete a course on joining).
• General IT skills with some experience of Arbor or similar MIS.
• Literacy and numeracy skills at a suitable level.
• Experience of writing reports.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and manage medical needs within policy guidelines.
• Administer prescribed or OTC medications with parental/guardian authorisation.
• Record treatments in electronic records and daybook.
• Notify parents of medical conditions or accidents as required.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
