Job summary

Oake, Bradford and Nynehead VC Primary in Taunton is seeking an experienced SENCO to lead SEND, inclusion and provision for disadvantaged pupils in a small village setting.

The role is offered for one day per week with flexible days. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, staff support and close collaboration with families to ensure every child receives appropriate provision and opportunities to thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience as SENCO or senior SEND lead in a primary setting.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and statutory duties.
• Ability to lead, support staff and families and champion inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the school's SEND provision and inclusion.
• Maintain SEND register and monitor EHCP provision and annual reviews.
• Develop, implement and review SEND policy and provision map.
• Support Headteacher and Governing Board with SEND responsibilities.
• Collaborate to self-evaluate and plan for vulnerable learners.
• Promote inclusive culture and liaise with families and external agencies.
