Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor for primary and secondary education catering. The role is part-time, contracted to 32.5 hours per week, with a schedule of Mon-Fri days and a 38-week year, overseen by a dedicated line manager.

You will lead kitchen and service teams, ensure high standards of food and service, monitor KPIs, and uphold Health & Safety policies while representing the Chartwells brand across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Liaising between customers and our culinary and service teams to exceed expectations.
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to help everyone excel.
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance.
