Job summary

The Education Authority in Armagh is hiring a part-time School Cleaner for St Malachy’s Primary School. 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3.30pm–5.30pm. You will work as part of a team to ensure clean, safe premises and comply with health and safety regulations.

Training and enhanced disclosure checks are part of the process. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, carpets, toilets, and general areas, plus assisting with reporting and paperwork as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with school cleaning and cleaning methods.
• Knowledge of cleaning machinery and safety procedures.
• COSHH and general health & safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to communicate in English and take instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas (floors, carpets, toilets) using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of ledges, walls, fixtures, and internal surfaces up to 3.35m.
• Empty bins and manage waste according to procedures.
• Cover colleagues and report absences as required.
• Adhere to health, safety, and safeguarding requirements.
