Job summary

Compass Group UK's Chartwells division is seeking an experienced Catering Manager to oversee all catering and service operations on a 30-hour per week, part-time basis.

You will manage kitchens and service counters, lead culinary and catering teams, monitor inventories and budgets, and implement health and safety standards to deliver exceptional food experiences.

Qualifications

• Two years catering experience required.
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 required.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Strong financial acumen and budget monitoring.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams for impeccable service.
• Oversee in-unit catering operations, inventories, budgets, and action plans.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Identify opportunities for new food or service concepts to drive sales.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards.
