Job summary

Coláiste Feirste is seeking an Assistant Building Supervisor to assist the building supervisor with on-site supervision, cleaning and related services at Coláiste Feirste. The role requires ensuring security, managing routine maintenance, and supporting after-school activities in a school setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months’ experience in a school environment, and be able to communicate proficiently in Irish.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months’ demonstrable experience as assistant building supervisor and/or building supervisor in a school environment.
• High standard of communication through the medium of the Irish language.
• As a key holder, able to respond to call outs at short notice, including unsocial hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the building supervisor with on-site supervision, cleaning and non-cleaning services.
• Ensure security of premises, supervise access, monitor alarms and respond to faults.
• Plan and supervise cleaning tasks to Education Authority standards and manage cleaners.
• Prepare premises for after-school activities and examinations; manage porterage and waste handling.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and liaise with the designated line manager.
