Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to ensure a safe and welcoming shop floor environment. You will help protect people, prevent loss and support a positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, a full 5-year checkable history for vetting, and a proactive, professional, customer-focused approach as you deter theft and support store operations. Casual, part-time hours with ongoing training offered.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence is required.
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history for vetting.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deter theft, antisocial behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols.
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Work closely with store management teams.
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety onsite.
