Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid is seeking a part-time Refuge Support Worker to help maintain safe, clean refuge accommodation and support women and children.

The role covers one Birmingham refuge with potential cover at Solihull sites; 22 hours across 5 days, typically 9am–5pm. The post is subject to safety checks and equality requirements, with hybrid working options where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out health and safety checks to comply with legislation and organisational needs.
• Experience working in a residential setting to ensure that the building is well cleaned and maintained.

Responsibilities

• To ensure BSWA’s refuge accommodation is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance, creating a safe and welcoming environment for women and children.
• This post will cover one of our Birmingham refuges, with some cover at other refuge sites in Birmingham and Solihull.
• The 22 hours will need to be worked primarily over 5 days between 9am and 5pm.
