Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid is seeking dedicated staff to support women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. The role focuses on developing family support and running play sessions in refuge and community settings.

You will lead domestic violence awareness sessions with children, young people, and professionals, while upholding safeguarding guidelines and working with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience working with women and children affected by domestic violence.
• Ability to assess and meet children's needs holistically.
• Deliver play activities for children.
• Working within safeguarding guidelines and legislation.
• Able to provide training and awareness sessions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver family support and play sessions for children, young people and mothers.
• Lead on domestic violence awareness sessions with children/young people and professionals.
