Job summary

Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid is seeking a Children and Family Support Worker to deliver family support and play sessions for children, young people and their mothers in refuge and community settings.

The role requires 30 hours per week, includes after-school, evenings, school holidays, and weekend work, and operates on a 24-hour on-call rota with an on-site rota for coverage. Salary is £25,570.54 per year, with responsibilities including safeguarding and inter-agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in family support for children and mothers in refuge or community settings.
• Ability to deliver group and one-to-one therapeutic activities for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver family support and play sessions for children, young people and mothers.
• Lead on domestic violence awareness sessions with children and professionals.
• Maintain Health and Safety records and relevant documentation.
