The Chrysalis Group, Bristol-based, is seeking a part-time Recovery & Housing Support Worker to assist residents on the Recovery Programme, help them maintain tenancies and access community services. The role involves visiting participants, supporting life and educational skills, and coordinating with the Compass Project.

You will work 21 hours per week on a two-week rota, including on-call coverage. A compassionate, assertive approach and transport to projects are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of proven experience supporting people in recovery from addiction
• Proven experience helping people retain tenancies and avoiding homelessness
• Proven experience helping people access community services
• Experience helping people gain life and educational skills
• Experience onboarding volunteers and peer mentors
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles
• Counselling skills and ability to facilitate group work
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to set boundaries
• Willingness to cover out-of-hours as needed
• IT literacy including Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsabilités

• Support individuals in accessing community services and empower them to gain life and educational skills
• Provide counselling, practical key work and group support, including facilitation of groups
• Encourage abstinence and foster personal growth and learning environment
• Assist with move-ins/outs and housing-related tasks as needed
• Coordinate with Compass Project staff and volunteers to support tenants
• Respond to emergencies and maintain records per internal policy
• Attend weekly activities at housing projects to engage participants
