Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Recovery Worker for its East Cheshire North Supported Housing service. The role supports residents with mental health needs, helping them work towards independent living within a 24/7 supported housing setting.

You will manage caseloads, liaise with health teams and contribute to service delivery in a compassionate, outcomes‑driven way. Your duties include developing person‑centered plans, promoting wellbeing, and maintaining confidential records in line with GDPR and

Qualifications

  • Experience in mental health or supported accommodation settings.
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic coping strategies for mental health.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion for vulnerable people.
  • Experience advising on housing and tenancy information and welfare benefits.
  • Experience in Housing Management and welfare benefit legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Support people to achieve life goals and improve quality of life.
  • Develop practical and emotional life skills for independent living.
  • Assist with safe, daily running of the service including housing tasks.
  • Work as part of a team to meet service targets and deliver the organisation's mission.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and comply with GDPR and policies.
  • Signpost clients to other services for additional support.
  • Oversee caseloads and develop person-centered plans with outcomes.
