Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a dedicated Recovery Worker to join Oxford House in Workington, delivering person-centered support within our housing and community services. This permanent, full-time role is based on a 30-hour week and includes weekend and evening rota shifts.

You'll help people develop life skills, support independence, and promote safer, healthier living while coordinating with local services to sustain accommodation and community integration.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to respond compassionately to sensitive and complex issues.
• Able to motivate, support and advocate for people using services.
• Your own vehicle as the role will involve working within the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve their own physical and mental well-being.
• Develop life-skills including budgeting, money management, tenancy sustainment, access to public services, further education and/or employment andliving well in the community.
• Live more fulfilling lives and develop new meanings and purposes.
