Job summary

Wigan Council is seeking a Reablement Support Worker to assist residents at home, promoting independence through asset-based approaches. The role sits within the Early Intervention team and requires flexible working including weekends.

The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with hours 07:00–22:00. You will work alongside Reablement, Therapists, Social Care Workers, Housing and Health professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in reablement or home care is desirable.
• Strong customer care ethic and ability to work with dignity and respect.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to support residents in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide reablement support in residents' homes.
• Use asset-based approaches to promote independence and community connection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and review care.
