Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking a Reablement Officer to support customers in their own homes, delivering a proactive reablement programme within a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on ADL support, dignity, and promoting independence.

Two part-time posts are available (30 hours per week). Applicants should have experience in Adult Social Care and flexible to work within community settings. Closing date: 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification for this role is NVQ L2 Health and social care or equivalent.
• Experience of working in Adult Social Care and joining a Multi-Disciplinary Team would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support/enable activities of daily living (ADL’s) including personal care within an overall support plan.
• Co-ordinate and deliver a programme of active Reablement to maximise independence.
• Develop informal support networks and help customers access community resources.
