Job summary

St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School in Osbaldeston, Blackburn, is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support learning across the school under the direction of the class teacher. The role includes helping individual and small groups, and lunchtime supervision.

The post is part-time (21.25 hours/week, term-time only) with a pro-rata salary; the appointment is initially temporary but may extend depending on budget. An online DBS check will be carried out for shortlisted candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children
• Excellent Numeracy and Literacy skills
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (basic)

Responsibilities

• Support learning in the classroom and with individuals/small groups
• Assist in assessment, monitoring and recording of pupil progress
• Support pupils and staff during lunchtime and across the school
