Job summary

St Mary’s CE Primary School in Wigan invites applications for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a pupil 1:1 in KS2 and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time (38 weeks per year), at Grade 3 (£19,049 per annum, £13.70 per hour). It is temporary until 31 August 2027 due to SEND funding, with opportunities to support learning and behaviour across our team.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary aged children with a range of needs is desirable.
• Please state on the application which interventions you are trained to or have delivered.
• Your literacy and numeracy skills must be of a high standard with a good understanding of the national curriculum in both subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support in KS2 on a daily basis.
• Assist with lunchtime cover on a rota basis.
• Contribute to safeguarding and DBS clearance processes as required.
