Job summary

Wakefield-based Teaching Personnel is seeking a part-time Primary Teacher to cover KS1/KS2 in Wakefield schools. The role runs term-time only, with start date available immediately, and pays £120–£180 per day depending on experience.

You will deliver high-quality lessons, assess pupil progress, support phonics and early reading, foster a positive classroom environment, and maintain strong communication with parents and staff. Flexible hours and ongoing consultant support are provided.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Basic first aid certification is an advantage.

Wakefield Part-Time Primary Teacher

Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a primary school teacher to work in our Wakefield Primary Schools. The post is for part-time roles from Monday to Friday, term time only. This position can start immediately and will pay from £120 - £180, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress
  • Supporting phonics delivery and early reading development
  • Creating a positive and enjoyable classroom environment
  • Maintaining effective communication with parents and staff
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Basic first aid certification is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
