Job summary

Weston College is seeking a Personal Development Tutor to inspire and guide learners, developing skills, confidence and employability. You will work with curriculum teams to plan enrichment activities, support progression to university, apprenticeships or skilled work, and help students navigate life and career choices.

The role operates term-time, 22.2 hours per week over 39 weeks, with on-site interviews at one of the campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with young people or adults in an education or support setting.
• Awareness of issues shaping learners' lives and work today.
• Understand the challenges young people face as they progress through education and into work.
• Are organised, motivated, and able to engage and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver group tutorial sessions on digital wellbeing and related life skills.
• Support learners in securing their first work placement or progression opportunities.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams and support staff to plan engaging, outcomes-driven activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to help learners stay motivated and plan their future steps.
