Job summary
City of Portsmouth College is seeking a Sessional Personal Tutor to work with cohorts of assigned students, delivering pastoral support and weekly Personal Development Curriculum sessions across our campuses, including Highbury, Sixth Form, Arundel and North Harbour. You will monitor progress, tailor materials to match subjects, and help students achieve learning goals and positive destinations.
The role requires A Level 3 Award in Education and Training or willingness to undertake, along with
Qualifications
- A Level 3 Award in Education and Training required or willingness to undertake
- Experience of working in the post-16 educational sector
- Experience delivering sessions in an education or training setting
- Ability to support young people
Responsibilities
- Tailor centrally written teaching materials for weekly sessions to reflect the main subject studied by each tutor group
- Deliver Personal Development Curriculum sessions
- Monitor progress of each student in allocated cohort using the EILP and Progress and Monitoring Points
- Monitor attendance data of each student in tutorial cohort and address attendance issues
