Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, who are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join their friendly finance team. You will own the payroll function, process end-to-end payroll using Sage Payroll, handle RTI submissions to HMRC, and respond to payroll queries.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience in a standalone or payroll administration role.
• Sage Payroll experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of HMRC legislation, RTI and statutory payments.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy.
• Processing starters, leavers, salary changes and statutory payments.
• Managing SSP, SMP, SPP and other payroll-related calculations.
• Submitting RTI reports to HMRC.
• Processing pension contributions and handling auto-enrolment requirements.
• Reconciling payroll reports and resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Responding to employee payroll and pension queries.
• Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and company policies.
