Elysium Healthcare is hiring a part-time Painter and Decorator for Braeburn House in Salford. You will maintain and improve the appearance of the facility, ensuring safe working practices and timely completion of decorating tasks.

The role requires painting and decorating experience, strong customer-facing skills, and a valid UK driving licence. Join a supportive team at Braeburn House, delivering care in a modern rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Painting and Decorating.
• Face-to-face experience of dealing with people.
• Ability to work under pressure, and respond to the Regional Facilities Manager requests.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Proper preparation of surfaces for painting.
• Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers (where risk assessed).
• Repairing and maintaining painted surfaces, including touch-ups and refinishing.
• Ensuring all decorating work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines.
• Assisting with the selection and procurement of painting and decorating materials through the correct protocol.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assisting in regular checks, repairs, and maintenance of all buildings.
• Assisting the maintenance team where required and cover maintenance duties for periods of absence
• Assisting with coordinating and chaperoning contractors on-site, completing any required paperwork
