Job summary

Hartford Care is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Maintenance Team. You will carry out painting and decorating across care homes in the M3/M4 corridor, with travel between sites and a provided van. The role requires safe working at height and a clean driving licence, along with delivering high-quality finishes. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Robust painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail.

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Full and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Full-time, 40 hours This role includes travel to various care homes in and around the M3 & M4 corridor, so a driving licence is essential. A van will be provided for this role. We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Maintenance Team, helping us keep our care homes safe, comfortable, and beautifully maintained for the people who live and work in them.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
• Ability to work at height
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Desirable

• Painting and Decorating Qualification
• Previous experience within a care setting
• Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
• Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
• Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on iPads and other IT equipment
