Job summary

Asda Opticians is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team in Watford. You will perform eye examinations, manage contact lens services, and support the department to maintain high standards.

The role includes expanding patient services and pursuing additional accreditations with support from Asda. You will work 28.25 hours per week in a part-time, fixed-term contract, with a focus on delivering excellent patient care and developing your professional skills through our CPD programme and

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months, funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations.
• Support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards with the Dispensing Optician Manager.
• Assist in delivering NHS extended services and gaining additional accreditations as required.
