Job summary

Asda Opticians is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team for a 3-day, part-time position in Washington. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens and extended service exams, and work with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train staff and uphold department standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a GOC-registered optometrist and eligible to work in the UK.
• Evidence of NHS performer list for the nation you wish to work in.
• WECs/MECs accreditation or willingness to gain within 12 months (funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations.
• Work with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach colleagues.
• Support NHS extended service contracts and gain additional accreditations as needed.
• Develop new patient services and contribute to the department’s standards and culture.
