Job summary

Asda Opticians in Stafford is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team for 28 hours per week. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens assessments and extended service examinations alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to uphold high standards of care.

We support your professional development with training, CPD time, and opportunities to gain NHS extended service accreditations funded by Asda.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Registered NHS performer with your area team MECs/WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months, funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements and maintain clinical standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and assess patient needs including contact lens and extended service exams.
• Support Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
• Deliver NHS extended services and pursue additional accreditations as needed.
