Job summary

Asda is seeking an experienced Optometrist in Chester for a part-time role (24 hours per week) to support NHS contracted eye care services. You will screen patients, coach the team and maintain high clinical standards while delivering accessible eye care in-store.

You must be GOC registered and NHS accredited or willing to gain within 12 months, with CPD funding provided. Asda offers a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus, pension, generous discounts and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Willing to achieve MECs/WECs accreditation or NHS area team accreditation within 12 months (funded by Asda).
• Active CPD participation with time and funding support.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for eye conditions and monitor care.
• Coach and train the wider team while maintaining standards.
• Develop new patient services to meet customer needs.
• Support with coaching, training and service improvements.
• Engage with CPD programme and accreditation requirements.
