Job summary

ASDA Opticians in Stafford is seeking a Part-time Optometrist (28 hours) to join our store team and deliver high-quality eye care to our customers. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager, supporting training and maintaining departmental standards.

We support NHS extended services, CPD development, and flexible working patterns.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Registered with NHS performer list for your nation.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willingness to obtain within 12 months, funded).
• On track to meet CPD points requirements and maintain professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens assessments.
• Support and train colleagues with clinical standards and service delivery.
• Contribute to NHS extended services and ensure high patient care quality.
• Develop new patient services and help shape department culture.
