Job summary

Asda Opticians in Boldon is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team on a part-time basis (16 hours/week). You will perform eye examinations, manage extended services, and collaborate with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train staff and uphold departmental standards.

We offer a CPD-focused environment with funded accreditations, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to supervise students. A valid GOC registration and Right To Work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• NHS performer list registration or eligibility.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willingness to gain within 12 months, funded by Asda).
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and extended service examinations.
• Support and train colleagues with coaching and maintaining standards.
• Deliver wide range of eye care services under NHS contracts.
