Job summary

Asda Opticians in Boldon is seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team on a part-time basis. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens assessments and extended service examinations, working with our Dispensing Optician Manager to train colleagues and uphold departmental standards.

We support NHS extended service contracts, CPD with protected time funded by Asda, and opportunities to supervise students.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Evidence of NHS performer list in the nation you work in is required.
• ME Cs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain) within 12 months of joining Asda, funded by the company.
• On track to meet CPD points requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations.
• Support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training and coaching of colleagues.
• Deliver NHS extended service contracts and contribute to patient care.
• Develop new patient services and help shape the department culture.
