Asda Opticians in Swindon is seeking an Optometrist to join a busy team on a part-time basis. You will perform eye examinations, contact lens and extended service assessments, under the supervision of the Dispensing Optician Manager, and support training and departmental standards.

The role includes delivering NHS services, gaining additional accreditations, and benefiting from Asda's CPD framework and flexible working patterns within a 7-day operation.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation (or willing to gain within 12 months).
• On track to meet CPD points requirement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out eye examinations, contact lens and extended service examinations.
• Work alongside Dispensing Optician Manager to support training and coaching.
• Deliver NHS-funded eye care services and pursue additional accreditations as needed.
