Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Bury is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Periodic) to deliver comprehensive cleaning services across inpatient and community settings. Based at the Bury site, you will work as part of the Trust’s Facilities team, performing periodic and heavy duty cleaning in line with annual schedules and NHS standards.

You will drive a Trust vehicle or have access to a car to travel between sites, support infection control measures, COSHH, and health and safety procedures,

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent. + Full UK driving license.
• Experience of cleaning services, COSHH, Colour Coding.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Techniques.
• Formal cleaning qualification/training + Full UK driving license.
• Experience working to NHS National Cleaning standards, Colour coding, COSHH.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out tasks in line with Trust policy, national cleaning standards and local instruction.
• Carpet cleaning.
• Cleaning ceilings / walls.
• Curtain changing.
• Roto washing/buffing floors.
• Cleaning ventilation grills and radiators.
• Responding to ad hoc requests and incidents (e.g. floods).
• Ensure infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures are followed.
