Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Domestic) to perform cleaning duties across inpatient and community settings, including wards and clinics. You will follow cleaning schedules, adhere to infection control and health & safety policies, and participate in mandatory training as required.

The role is part-time (25 hours/week) with late afternoon shifts and is based at Fairfield General Hospital.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent experience required.
• Experience of cleaning services and COSHH knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of health & safety techniques and colour coding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties across clinical, sanitary and administration areas.
• Follow Trust policies, cleaning schedules and local instructions.
• Report incidents, near misses and equipment defects as per policy.
• Attend mandatory training including fire safety, moving and handling, infection control.
• Work as part of the team to ensure tasks are completed to required standards.
