Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Domestic Cleaner to join the Facilities team in a community setting. The role covers general cleaning across clinical, sanitary and administrative areas to meet infection control standards and schedules.

You will dispose of waste, report incidents, and work across inpatient and community settings with training provided. A NVQ 2 or equivalent and cleaning experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or equivalent experience required.
• Experience of cleaning services preferred.
• COSHH, colour coding and health and safety knowledge expected.
• Ability to read health and safety documents such as risk assessments.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning in clinical, sanitary and administration areas to schedule and standards.
• Follow infection control, COSHH and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Meet cleanliness levels by following designated schedules.
• Dispose of waste safely under Trust guidelines.
• Report incidents and near misses per Trust policy.
• Store equipment correctly and report defects to supervisor.
• Work as part of the cleaning team across inpatient and community settings.
• Attend mandatory and additional training as required.
• Comply with Trust policies and procedures.
