Job summary

Church Road Surgery in Aston, Birmingham seeks a part-time medical receptionist to support the practice with patient bookings, calls, and admin. The role requires good communication, a welcoming manner, and the ability to work across five days with flexibility to cover gaps.

General practice experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. You will answer calls, book appointments, prepare prescriptions, and input documents, while maintaining high patient service

Qualifications

• Good communication with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Make appointments and signpost patients.
• Take prescriptions requests and process bookings.
• Arrange ambulance transport when needed.
• Record home visit requests and manage enquiries.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors; liaise with NHS teams as required.
