Job summary

Stourside Medical Practice in Halesowen is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Receptionist for a temporary role. The position offers 37.5 hours per week with weekend and evening shifts at an enhanced rate of £21.40 per hour.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, manage appointments, registrations, and telephone inquiries, and support the practice team in a busy primary care environment. Experience in a reception/admin role within primary care is preferred, and the role may

• Experience in a receptionist/admin role within primary care preferred.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Flexible for month-to-month extension after the initial 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, professional reception service to our patients.
• Act as the first point of contact for patients and represent the Practice professionally.
• Handle enquiries courteously and efficiently.
• Prioritise, maintain attention to detail and remain calm under pressure.
• Cover all reception positions as necessary.
• Process appointment requests and home visit entries.
• Registrations and medical records updates as required.
