Virgin Active is recruiting a Lifeguard to join our Operations Team on a permanent part-time basis, 32 hours per week. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment for members with a strong focus on poolside safety, cleanliness and service excellence.

You will act as an ambassador for the club, respond confidently to situations, complete mandatory training and uphold health and safety standards across the facility.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience.
• Complete safety checks and record them accurately.
• Monitor water chemical levels and clean water when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold Virgin Active high standards.
• Fulfil Duty Shifts and manage staffing and facility issues when required.

In this role, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for our members, ensuring the highest standards of poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience. You will act as a trusted ambassador for the club, responding confidently to situations, maintaining operational excellence and delivering exceptional service every day.

The Role

• Incorporating a friendly, calm and approachable nature with the ability to act quickly and effectively at all times.
• Ensuring the upmost safety of our members in the pool and spa areas, taking responsibility for your own personal safety and that of others.
• Consistently acting in a safe manner, knowing the importance of completing safety checks and recording them accurately.
• Monitoring water chemical water levels and cleaning the water when appropriate.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of all areas and adhere to the high standards of Virgin Active .
• Responsibility for compliance with all mandatory training and health and safety.
• Fulfilling Duty Shifts when required, therefore having responsibility and accountability during the shift, controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.

Who We’re Looking For

• You have a current Lifeguard qualification and be fully registered, with either a IQL National Pool Qualification (RLSS), HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (RQF) or STA Professional Award for Pool Lifeguard (RQF) qualification.
