Bury Council is inviting applications for a part-time Licensing Advisor (22.2 hours per week) in the Licensing Team. The role involves processing and technically reviewing licensing applications across a broad spectrum, including animal health, alcohol, entertainment, gambling and taxi licensing.

The successful candidate will handle complex legislation interpretation, ICT tasks, and regular telephone interactions with applicants and the public, contributing to a wider Public Protection Service

Formación

• Experience in handling public-facing work in a busy team.
• Excellent ICT skills including word processing and database management.
• Understanding of licensing law and regulations preferable.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with processing and technical review of licensing applications.
• Deal with licences related to animal health and welfare, alcohol, entertainment, gambling and taxi licensing.
• Interact with applicants, licence holders and the public and work to statutory timescales.
