Job summary

Bury Council is seeking a part-time Licensing Advisor to join the Licensing Team. The post involves processing and technically reviewing licensing applications across animal health and welfare, alcohol, regulated entertainment, gambling and taxi licensing.

The successful candidate will work in a small team, handling a range of licensing matters, with emphasis on statutory timescales and strong ICT skills including word processing and database management.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a public facing environment within a busy team.
• Experience or understanding in dealing with and processing licensing applications.
• Good ICT skills including word processing and database management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the processing and technical review of licensing applications.
• Process licences related to animal health and welfare, alcohol, regulated entertainment, gambling and taxi licensing.
• Interact with applicants, licence holders and the public on licensing matters.
