Job summary

National Instruments in Antrim-Antrim-Anahorish Primary School is seeking a part-time Classroom Assistant to support pupils and staff. You will work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm, with flexible arrangements during school holidays.

You will assist in language, behaviour, reading and handwriting development, support the learning environment, supervise pupils, and help with basic admin tasks and medicines where needed. Safeguarding and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant area.
• OR have 12 months’ experience in a formal learning environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the efficient running of the class and curriculum activities.
• Supervise groups and individuals, promote independent learning and manage the learning environment.
• Provide administration support and assist with preparation of materials.
• Provide care including administering medicines and ensuring safety and confidentiality.
