Job summary

Milk Education in Berkshire is seeking a compassionate LSA / Learning Mentor to support a young person for 17 hours per week as part of a specialist EOTAS team.

The role focuses on learning, wellbeing, communication and life skills, both at home and within the community, with hands-on experiences such as science, swimming, nature, building and community visits, while adapting to the learner's individual needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people.
• Experience in LSA/Teaching Assistant roles.
• Experience with autistic or neurodivergent learners.
• Patient, calm, creative and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the tutor and wider professional team
• Support learning through practical, hands-on experiences
• Help develop confidence, communication and independence
• Build trusting relationships with the learner
• Support community-based learning and activities
• Adapt approach to individual needs
