Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a creative 1:1 Tutor to support a bright learner in the Berkshire area. The role focuses on personalised sessions, aligning with the pupil's interests and real-world experiences to foster engagement and growth.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and bring calm, flexible teaching approaches, including autism/neurodiversity-aware practices, to help the learner make meaningful progress in 44 weeks per year.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a teacher, tutor or educator.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Understanding of autism, PDA and/or neurodiversity-affirming practice.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
  • Able to work in the Berkshire / RBWM area.
  • Creative, flexible and child-centred approach.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 learning sessions.
  • Connect learning with the young person’s interests, strengths and learning style.
  • Work with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure meaningful learning.
  • Adapt lessons around a young person’s interests and needs.
  • Support a diverse range of young people across alternative education settings.
