Job summary

Integra Education North Ltd. is seeking a Learning Mentor to support a pupil with autism, ADHD and PDA. The role involves 17 hours per week across 44 weeks per year, with a pay rate of £30-£50 per hour DOE.

Location is SL4 and start is ASAP. You will work closely with the pupil's parent and a specialist tutor in a nurturing, pupil-centred approach. The successful candidate will have HLTA qualification or strong SEN experience, experience with ASD/PDA/ADHD, and a trauma-informed, patient,

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong, relevant SEN experience.
• Experience with ASD, PDA and ADHD.
• Calm, flexible and patient nature.
• Trauma-informed, child-led approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)

Responsibilities

• Build trust and connection with the pupil in EOTAS setting.
• Understand Autism, PDA and neurodiversity‑affirming approaches.
• Remain calm in tricky moments and adapt plans.
• Think creatively and work with MDT to support learning.
• Enable incidental learning through the pupil's interests and activities.

We are looking for a patient, nurturing Learning Mentor to provide support a young person with autism, ADHD and PDA.

You will work in a close, collaborative team alongside the pupil's parent and specialist tutor using a nurturing, pupil centred approach.

• Build trust and connection with a young person receiving education other than at school (EOTAS)
• Understand Autism, PDA and neurodiversity-affirming approaches
• Remain calm in tricky moments
• Think creatively and adapt plans
• Enjoy community learning and hands on experiences
• Work collaboratively with MDT

What you'll need:

• HLTA qualification or strong, relevant SEN experience.
• Experience working with ASD, PDA and ADHD.
• A calm, flexible and patient nature.
• Genuine, trauma informed, child led approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)
• Flexible, creative and responsive rather than agenda-driven
• Able to facilitate incidental learning through the young person interests and activities rather than expecting conventional table-based teaching
• Demonstrate resilience
