Job summary

Edgeborough School in Farnham is seeking a Learning Assistant to support pupils across the Prep School. You will work in the classroom and small intervention groups to reinforce literacy and numeracy, help pupils access the curriculum, and support progress and confidence.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Desirable Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• First aid training or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning in the classroom and in small intervention groups.
• Reinforce key literacy and numeracy skills to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Foster pupils' confidence, independence and positive attitudes to learning.
• Provide targeted support to learners of varying abilities to secure progress.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of learning resources and activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support assessment, progress tracking and pupil wellbeing.
• Support wider school life and pastoral development as required.
